Approximately calculate the braking distance of a car from a certain speed. You can use different parameters.
Once different substrates that affect the braking distance. In the calculation, of course, these are only used approximately (idealized).
On a dry road, we assume a normal road surface with average tires. In the event of a danger of danger, a double braking delay is assumed as usual. In the case of moisture, a normally handy, clean road without aquaplaning should be accepted. In the case of black ice, you basically have to distinguish between wet black ice (worst frictional value), normal and dry (best frictional value for black ice) - we assume the calculation of normal black ice.
On the other hand, you can indicate whether a delay time before the start of the braking should be observed. This includes the response time that a typical driver expires until he reacts to an event, the time until the brake pedal really steps, as well as the time until the technical response of the brakes and the real physical braking effect. Simplified the way with this delay is also possible as a reaction path. Statistically, you are 1 second here, which flows into our formula.
The rule of thumb for the braking distance without delay time, as specified in the driving school, is: By the way:
Speed (km / h) to the square / 100 = brake path (m)
Note that the values determined are of course not binding, but are based on the "thumb rule" specified by the legislator. The app is therefore certainly suitable for learning for the driver's license test.
