New players will unfortunately not be able to claim Tanjiro. However, there is some good news.
The developers have confirmed that Tanjiro will be tradable in future updates. This means that players who didn’t make it into the initial 10,000 can still potentially acquire Tanjiro by trading with other players who have him.
There hasn't been an announcement about when Anime Reborn will gain a trading feature, just that the game will eventually get one. I'd advise any players to join the Anime Reborn Discord server for future updates, because any Tanjiros that are being traded will be snapped up quickly when trading becomes available.
It's not the end of the world, though. There are plenty of great units in Anime Reborn, and you'll easily be able to choose a powerful one to head your team by using our Anime Reborn tier list.
